Few days in Amsterdam

Hey guys!! I've recently had the chance to visit Amsterdam with a friend and I wanted to show you what I did! I spent two full days and a half day so this is to show you that you'll have plenty of time to do whatever you want!!! We did walk a lot but it's totally worth it even if you're someone who's not into walking. I personally LOVE to walk and that way you get to see lots of details about the city that you wouldn't see in a metro. There are metros, trams and LOTS AND LOTS OF BIKES!!! I guess there's lots of bikes because the trams and metros are quite expensive. I'll stop talking now and get into the pictures and places :) I'll try to put the things that I would recommend doing and I'll do another post with pictures of the trip!
1) Museums (Amsterdam is filled with museums so if it's raining you know what to do!!!)
- My definite favorite was Van Gogh Museum ( https://www.vangoghmuseum.nl/ )! This museum is incredible and I spent around 2h30 (I think). I do recommend buying your tickets online so that you can skip all the line.
- Anne Frank's house ( http://www.annefrank.org/ ). If you're planning your trip in advance you might be able to get tickets online but since I didn't, the tickets were already sold out. Because we didn't have tickets, my friend told me that if we went at around 7:30pm the line would be way shorter and she was right!! When you go at 3pm, which is when all of the people who don't have tickets can go, you can wait in line for up to 4 hours!! So by going at 7:30 we had a little bit less than 30 minutes!
2) Outside
- Vondelpark is very nice to walk around, maybe grab something to eat and do a little picnic.
- Dam Square and Jordaan are some really nice boroughts that I'm sure you'll walk around since it's were most of the things are.
- Canals: if you can, book a boat ride!
3) Markets
- Waterloopleinmarkt: it has lots of things but mostly vintage and used clothes
- Albert Cuyp Market: It has more things than the Waterlooplainmarkt and there's lots of little stands where you can buy freshly made stroop waffles!!
4) A'DAM lookout
This place is INCREDIBLE and I don't know how it is not incredibly popular!! But enjoy it while there's not lots of people up there. It's a lookout of the city (kind of like the Empire State in Manhattan) but what's incredible is that on top it has mechanical swings (you have to buy the tickets at the entrance)!!
5) Food
- De Drie Graefjes is a place where you can have a slice of cake, a cookie and a nice coffee or hot chocolate. The place itself is very nice and well decorated.
- The breakfast club: I came here for brunch and it was delicious!! It's a little bit more expensive but the food is very good, the place has lots of windows and gives you a fresh atmosphere.
- Foodhallen Amsterdam: This used to be an old train station (I believe. Similar to Mercado de San Miguel in Madrid) where they have lots of food carts offering a wide variety of food!! The place is trendy, it's nice to have dinner surrounded by people and music.
That was all!! Let me know what you think or if you're planning a visit to Amsterdam! Don't hesitate to add things on the comments below!
